The Intercoiffure Fall Atelier Nouveau Contest is a prestigious competition tailored for burgeoning talent in the hairstyling industry, specifically featuring stylists with five years of experience or less.
This contest offers a unique platform for young stylists to showcase their skills, creativity, and innovation in hairdressing. Eligibility for this contest is exclusive to licensed cosmetologists who are part of a team working with Intercoiffure ‘A’ members or Class ‘A’ partners.

History of ICA Nouveau
Intercoiffure America Canada Nouveau fosters leadership in emerging talent, preparing them for future triumphs both nationally and internationally. Nouveau events unite young professionals from diverse salon backgrounds to create, share ideas, and build camaraderie through shared passion. Participants extend Nouveau’s reach by returning to their salons to disseminate their new knowledge.
Exclusive participation in Nouveau-sponsored events is reserved for team members of ICA “A” members and Class A Partners who are licensed for five years or less.
At ICA’s fall atelier, top finalists and other salon team members are invited to showcase their skills on Nouveau’s main stage, presenting their talents to an audience of industry elites. Nouveau also provides a platform to confront the challenges young professionals face and to engage with current trends.
Nouveau cultivates creativity, teaching techniques to craft consumer-friendly, wearable hairstyles, enriching the learning experience for young salon team members.
This exceptional initiative for new team members was launched by ICA President Lois Christie and further developed under the guidance of Perry Monge as Chair.
