Intercoiffure America Canada’s regional events are an opportunity for members to get an intimate look inside an ICA member’s business.

Each year, ICA aims to present three to four regional events where a salon owner hosts around 40 ICA members for a weekend of networking and diving deep into the salon’s processes and culture with total transparency. These regional events are an exclusive benefit to ICA members only, with free registration.

“Regional events are one of the most powerful experiences we offer,” says Scott Buchanan, ICA president. “They bring our members together in a space where real connection happens, where ideas flow, networks grow, and inspiration sparks the kind of breakthroughs that elevate everyone’s best work.”

On March 14-16, Mouton’s owners and ICA members  Bruce and Theresa McGaha will host ICA’s next annual regional event in Grapevine, Texas.

“We have a few topics we’ll explore over the weekend, including our relationship with high school cosmetology programs, property ownership and community involvement,” says Bruce McGaha.

McGaha says they plan to take members to visit a local high school and learn more about its cosmetology program. They’ll also tour various locations Mouton’s has occupied over the years.

“We have owned a couple buildings in our decades as owners,” he says. “And we’ve used our ownership to leverage the business.”

The tour will be conducted with total transparency: “We’ve lost money over the years, but we always had the property, which was a big deal. Now, we own our building outright with no mortgage.”

Mouton’s is known for its southern hospitality, and McGaha says they’ll dive into the details of how they’ve created a warm, inviting culture for both guests and team members.

“Finally, we’ll take a tour of Six Stones, a local charity we work with,” McGaha says. “We’ve been in business in this community for 38 years—it’s important to be connected and take responsibility for our role in the community.”

Members will also have the opportunity to network with other ICA owners over the two-day event.

Buchanan says, “Because these gatherings are small and intimate, the impact is even greater. You’re not just attending an event, you’re building relationships, discovering new perspectives, and reigniting your passion alongside people who understand the heart of this industry.”
