September 16, 2010The new Trend Collection by Vivienne Mackinder, Fashion Director, for Intercoiffure America/Canada, introduced October 18 at the Fall Atelier in New York City.
NEW YORK: In her latest Trend Release, Fashion Director Vivienne Mackinder pays homage to the revolutionary hairstyles introduced by the divine Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Lauren. Entitled “Glamorama,” the Trend Release reinterpets the bobs, beehives and bouffants of the decade following World War II. The result is a stunning, very modern showcase of the best in beauty and fashion.
Collection models Marlene and Anna seem to step out of a luxurious St. Tropez resort. Mackinder intuitively understands the romance of haute couture, and uses that understanding to set off her legendary technical mastery of cutting, styling and finishing. The result is “Glamorama”—a confident, sexy collection that’s sure to inspire.
The collection was shot in September 2010 by photographer Julie Pogodina and introduced at the Fall Atelier in New York City on Monday, October 18. Hair styling was by Vivienne Mackinder, and fellow Intercoiffure member Jo Blackwell-Preston of Dop-Dop Salon in New York collaborated on hair color. Mackinder was assisted by her team Rosemary Tejeda and Brian Woobanks. David Wadaja served as the fashion stylist, and Anetta Klemens was the makeup artist for the shoot.
