Fall Atelier
Held in October at the elegant Waldorf Astoria, the Fall Atelier doubles as ICA’s annual member meeting and an extraordinary artistic event centered on the Fall Trend Release.
Spring Symposium
The Spring Symposium focuses on business development and advanced technical education. It’s held in different resort locations around the U.S. in the early part of the year.
Stage Presentations
All members are invited to present onstage at ICA events, either artistically or business. Contact the event chairperson to share your unique vision.
COLLECTIONS
Trend Releases
Presented semi-annually by the Fashion Director to illustrate the latest directions in beauty and fashion. Members receive photography and videography for salon use.
Color Trend Releases
Presented semi-annually by the Haircolor Council, these collections exemplify emerging formulations and advanced color techniques.
COUNCILS
Haircolor Council
The Haircolor Council works to share energy and creative dialogue; define new trends in color; and develop the next generation of color specialists. Creative Director: Gina Khan
Haircutting Council
The Haircutting Council works to define new style trends and advanced cutting techniques in semi-annual main stage presentations or hands-on classes. Creative Director: Frank Gambuzza
Intercoiffure Nouveau
Through its annual Creative Cutting Contest, Intercoiffure Nouveau proactively fosters young talent by offering opportunities to present in main stage programs on a national and international level. Creative Director: Perry Monge
Skin Care Council
The Skin Care Council provides skin care education, sharing technical information and training opportunities. Director: Lydia Sarfati
Makeup Council
The Makeup Council informs and demonstrates the latest trends in color cosmetics. Creative Director: Lori Neapolitan
AWARDS
Ralph Most Award
Legendary hairdresser and Mondial Vice President Ralph Most serves as the inspiration for this award honoring ICA members who’ve made outstanding contributions to the association.
Cheena O’Seara Award
Cheena O’Seara was the first woman to become a member of ICA. The Cheena O’Seara Award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of ICA’s female members.
Visionary of the Year Award/Inspiration Award
These awards honor industry figures whose achievements have inspired other professional to excel. Past recipients include Paula Kent Meehan (2007), Leo and Robert Passage (2008), Ann Mincey (2008) and John Paul de Joria (2009).
INTERCOIFFURE MONDIAL
Intercoiffure Mondial
A-member salon owners have access to Intercoiffure Mondial, the global umbrella uniting salon owners in more than 50 countries. Mondial operates the House of Nations in Paris, the Fondation Guillaume, Education for Life and other programs and events.
